Leviticus 22-27

03-19-18 – Dr. June examines the remaining chapters of Leviticus. We have learned about God’s boundaries in a relationship with man and sin. Sin is what separates us from God. For instance, Lev 22:2 – 2 Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, and that they profane not my holy name in those things which they hallow unto me: I am the Lord..

The Lord clarifies that He brought the Children of Israel out of the land of Egypt and thus He owns them. They are set apart and NOT to touch the unclean thing. They are not to engage in Egypt’s (or any foreign land) culture or idols! They are to separate themselves for they are the chosen people. In other words, God has high standards for them. He also let us know AGAIN that the land is held accountable to Him as well.

God let us know that we are to respect the land AND HIM. The land is held accountable to God for us as well, which is why sometimes the land might get revenge on the people and swallow them up or spew them out! God says it!

So, God is very meticulous about His expectations for His people and it even gave one example of a man who disrespected God and God made the people lay hands on that boy’s head and impart their sins into him and then they killed him by stoning him to death.

Such an amazing bible study and God let us know that He has chosen us because He wants to make us HOLY to walk with us and have a relationship with us. #soamazing!
